A Byford-based, family-run building repair and maintenance team, working across Perth, Rockingham and Mandurah. Over ten years on the tools, fully insured, and a Master Builders WA member.
Who we are
Kangaroo Building Works is a family-run, hands-on team based in Byford. We are not a call centre that subcontracts your job to whoever is free – the person who quotes your work is involved in getting it done.
Most of what we do is repair and maintenance rather than new builds: the jobs that are too small for a builder. Doors that will not close, decks going soft, gyprock damage, roof and gutter work, bathroom and wet area repairs, fencing, flat pack and fit-out.
We work for homeowners, landlords, property managers, strata companies and commercial sites. Some of it is one-off repair work. A lot of it is ongoing maintenance for people who would rather catch problems early than deal with them after they have spread.
How we work
Four things we hold ourselves to, because they are the things customers tell us other trades get wrong:
- We turn up when we say we will. If something changes, you hear it from us before the appointment, not after it.
- Quotes are free and itemised. You see what the work costs before it starts, and the invoice matches the quote unless you have asked for something extra.
- One point of contact. From the first phone call through to the final clean-up, you deal with the same people.
- We tell you when something can wait. If a job is not urgent, we will say so. Plenty of what we look at does not need doing yet, and we would rather you trusted us next time.

Cracked and lifting mortar along the ridge, re-bedded and repointed. Left alone, this is where water gets into a roof space.
